Click on the button below to join the conference. The slideshow at the button gives you a quick introduction on how to use the platform.
Tutorial: How to navigate through the conference platform
- Click on the top right "Sign in" link
- Sign in with your OxfordAbstracts account
- Click on the "VIEW" button
- Sometimes the OxfordAbstracts pages ask you to sign in again
- Now you are at the main page of the conference plattform. If you click on the arrow button at the top left corner you can expand the sidebar
- The FAQ page shows some general information and we will update this page during the symposium
- The program gives you an overview of the timetable. If you click on the small sign, you can bookmark a session.
- If you click on a session...
- ... you get more information about the speakers and their abstracts and you can join the webinar by clicking on the blue button.
- This will redirect you to the Zoom webinar ...
- and you might need to login into your Zoom account
- If the webinar has not started yet, you will see this message
- Let‘s go back to the place where we started to join the Webinar. If you click at a given title …
- you get the abstract of the talk and can see other abstracts in this session...
- To go back to the program page you use the back/forward buttons of your browser
- A short comment to the chat: In some browses the hide function of the chat (if you click on the X) does not work properly. Actually we don‘t know what is wrong. If you type a message to the chat please be aware that everybody can read it. The chat doesn‘t allow direct chats, such chats are possible in the Gather.town environment.
- Let's go the „Titles“ page. It shows you the list of all titles. If you click at the button „Filters“ …
- you can filter the abstracts e.g. by presentation types
- You can also filter by names. However, only title names and author names work. It is not possible to filter by affiliations.
- The last section in the menu is the poster gallery.
- Again, you have the possibility to filter the poster either by their session or by keywords.
- These categories were selected by the authors. We still have this message on the right side. You can delete your own messages by clicking on the three points
- Click on "delete"
- and confirm it.
- You can edit your own account information/badge by clicking on the arrow at the top right corner
- That was a (perhaps too detailed) introduction to the Oxford Abstracts platform. We hope that it was useful for you. If you have further questions do not hesitate to ask us (joscha.hoche@uni-wuerzburg.de or bernd.engels@uni-wuerzburg.de)
