Since the STC was initially planned as a on-site conference in the beautiful Würzburg, we took two providers on board to carry out the conference. The GDCh handles all financial matters while the virtual conference will take place via OxfordAbstracts.
The registration process for the STC consists of the following two mandatory steps:
- Registration on the conference platform OxfordAbstracts.
- Registration with the German Chemical Society (GDCh) to pay the conference fees.
Please note: Participation in the STC is only possible if both steps, 1 and 2, have been taken

When we tested the conference platform, it turned out that some notification emails end up in spam. So, if you are waiting for a notification from us, please check your spam.
Terms & Conditions
Individual registration is required for each participant. The registration will become binding upon receipt at the GDCh, Event Team.
If you have registered as a student please make sure to provide a suitable proof of your status (e.g. copy of your student card or confirmation by your university by e-mail). We reserve the right to refuse student registrations without such proof.
The registration fee is to be paid after receipt of the invoice and should be paid stating the number invoice to:

Payment usually is made by credit card or invoice. You will receive the invoice with separate e-mail.
The registration should be done online until August 29, 2021. Subsequent registrations are still possible.
Registration fees are not subject to German VAT in accordance with § 4 Nr. 22a UStG of the German VAT Law
Cancellation of registrations
In case of cancellation of registration until August 29, 2021 € 25, – will be charged for processing. When the application is withdrawn at a later date or non-participation, the entire invoice amount is due. However, registration may be transferred to another member of your organization.
If, contrary to expectations, the conference has to be canceled by the GDCh – for whatever reason – already paid fees will be reimbursed in full. Any further claims are excluded. Cancellations need to be put in writing.
Cancellations of Events
If the conference is cancelled for whatever reason, fees paid will be refunded. Further recourse is excluded
